Review: Kiehl’s Facial Fuel SPF 15 & Energizing Scrub

by Robbie

With mens skincare becoming big business in this day and age, and many modern men of all ages embracing their metrosexuality I am happy to admit that I wholly embrace this culture.

I first became aware of the Kiehl’s male skincare range around 2 years ago when a friend passed me a sample of the Facial Fuel SPF 15 Moisturiser. Since then I have not looked back and have become an avid user of Kiehls products.

Facial Fuel Energizing Scrub is a product that I use twice a week in order to give my skin a deep cleanse. As soon as you apply this scrub you feel an energy boost which stems from the combination of caffeine and menthol. The quality of the apricot scrub particles is second to none and you can instantly feel cleansing taking place. The scents involved are orange and lemon and due to this you get a nice tingling sensation throughout your experience with the scrub. Upon drying your face after use you feel refreshed and awake and ready to tackle whatever the day throws at you. I personally have sensitive skin but I haven’t experienced any ill effects from using this product. Retailing at £17.50 for a 100ml tube, this is compete facial scrub for men of all ages. This scrub pairs very well with the Kiehl’s Facial Fuel Moisturiser range.

Facial Fuel SPF 15 Moisturiser is a personal favourite of mine and I use it on a daily basis. This moisturiser which contains vitamins C & E wakens you up and gives you a fresh faced look for the day ahead as well as providing you with a little sunscreen in the process. It is non oily and works with all skin types and is very lightly fragranced. Retailing at £33 for a 125ml tube this moisturiser is in the higher price bracket for the average man but it’s well worth it if you can afford it. From using other brand moisturisers in the past I can say without doubt this is up with the best all round men’s moisturiser I have used to date.
